Posting this in advance of Remembrance Day and the freedoms we enjoy today, thanks to the sacrifices that were made.

Tomorrow morning at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month; the time set aside to remember Armistice Day. And I, too, will remember.

And I will be, as I always am, thankful.

  1. And reminds me of all the scenes in Three Pines in the chapel in the shadow of the three young men in the stained glass window and of those whose names Ruth recites, lives given in the service of freedom in the first world war and families who paid a price I hope we will not pay be called to pay again. Gratitude, indeed, and our call to work to protect freedom.
