This is Puddy Tat. We didn't name her. She was found as a kitten abandoned in a Safeway parking lot by some friends of ours. When their landlord threatened to evict them because of her, we adopted her. She had some quirks. When she first arrived she had been taught to attack hands so we got quite scratched up. Thankfully, she grew out of it. She also had a habit of having the cat "zoomies" and would run around the house around 7pm every night. When we'd visit our cabin, Puddy Tat would go on walks in the woods with us. She had a lot of boyfriend visitors, but she remained indifferent. But she did befriend a mouse, I kid you not! Sadly, I wasn't fortunate enough to see it for myself, but there were multiple witnesses. The mouse would approach my cat, curl up between her paws and the two would soak up the sun together.

I'm sharing this because of Nancy's post today (which did bring a smile to my face, as it made me think of Puddy Tat!), and because of Libby's response and her twice mentioning her cat.

So friends, here's my cat tax (Noun: cat tax (plural cat taxes); (Internet slang): An image or video of one's pet cat posted online, seen as a duty to be fulfilled upon introduction to a forum or social media platform.)

And now, if you have a cat, it's time to pay your cat tax (or dog tax or other person/thing that brings you joy)! Let's see the photos and hear your stories! 🙂
