If the there was an update to the menu at the Bistro, I agree that beignets should get added. The ones Jane posted look scrumptious! So here's a question for you…how forward thinking do you think they would go?

In Singapore, a coffee shop has created an original experience called "Sweet Little Rain." This creative concept involves serving coffee or tea with a cloud of cotton candy suspended above the cup. As the heat of the coffee rises, the steam slowly melts the sugar, causing the cloud to gently "rain" onto the drink. This sugar rain adds a sweet and visually stunning touch, turning the act of drinking coffee into a sensory show.

What say you? Too modern and out there, or wonderfully creative and artistic?

  1. I love new ideas, but maybe with a smaller cloud. If sugar drips outside of the cup then it will be a sticky mess. I think they would try anything in the Bistro and get feedback from the group. I feel like Ruth might not be a fan.

  2. I agree with Mei Lan. It looks like it would get quite sticky. The concept is interesting but when I imagine it in Three Pines I definitely see Ruth telling Olivier he’s off his rocker and the cloud finding itself tangled in Clara’s hair. Not to mention Rosa waddling around the bistro and plunging her beak into it any time a patron got one. 🙂
