My goodness, this only happened a few days ago and it’s made international news? This is a very, very rare thing that happened as orcas don’t usually swim into this area – too many people and boats and it leads to a very small dead-end harbour that goes right by the popular Granville Island Market surrounded by apartment buildings. In fact I’ve never heard of them swimming there in all my years living here. So the locals got a really special treat with this sighting. I live here and I’m jealous.
