Thanksgiving desert in NOLA! I believe profiteroles show up somewhere in Louise Penny's work but I cannot recall where or who is a fan of them. Any help appreciated.

That looks amazing!!! No clue about LP’s mention in the books, but I’m a fan. Usually it’s whipped cream inside, but yours looks more firm. Buttercream? Or even better, ice cream?? Hope you two are having a fabulous time. I love your dessert tax payments while you’re on your adventure travels.
Yes, ice cream in this one! Perhaps we need another category of taxes, the desert tax.
I love the idea of a dessert tax!
Jane, I can answer your question. It was A Brutal Telling and All The Devils Are Here. How do I know? We have a very handy Three Pines Food Source guide that lists all the food in the books here on the site: https://www.bookclubfriends.com/author-specific-arti/louise-penny-recipes/
Thank you! I hoped I wasn’t making this up! Another resource to check!
You are most welcome. And I forgot to add that your profiteroles look delicious! NOLA sure appears to have no shortage of decadent desserts.
NOLA has no shortage of decadent food! It is an interesting town, multi-cultural in many ways including with connections to Canada (Acadia and the Gaspe Peninsula). There is a great deal to see and do but we came to eat!
Oh Jane, I like you more and more with every sentence you type! Just like my Walter, I love to eat, although I don’t have the same side effects as my pup….usually.
Maybe we should expand the dessert tax to a more general food tax. Oh this site is filling up with all the best things: books, fur friends and food! How fantastic!
Love the dessert tax, and your posts from your travels! I agree that an expansion to a general food tax would be welcomed. If you travel to eat, I imagine that you’ve got some delicious experiences and I would love to hear about them, if you are interested in sharing. 🙂
Thanks, everyone for the encouragement to post about food as well as books and furry (or not so furry) critters.
