This is what both of mine do. Because of health issues, they each have a different food. So I cannot just put down food and walk away. I have to watch them eat and then pick up the dishes until later. Twitch is the one who will come and sit like this when she wants more to eat.

I love Twitch’s “ffed me” stink eye!!! She and Bella would get along well!
Sorry. That is not Twitch, just a cat that came with the saying. But Twitch comes and sits, waiting for me to put down her dish of food. If I procrastinate, she will meow.
My apologies to you and Twitch for my misidentification. Happy Holidays!!!
Twitch and Liam are lucky kitties! But they would probably say that it’s hard work to train a human.
Sometimes, I feel like a short order cook. They don’t come together for food. And Twitch usually wants more when I am trying to fix something to eat for me. Which mean, I have to stop and watch her eat to make sure that Liam doesn’t decide to try to get her food. Lots of fun! But I love them.
Oh I can completely relate and I feel your pain! Always the last to eat and even then, interrupted and left with a cold meal. They can be so much work, and their needs always come first, but they are family and absolutely worth all the effort.
