Hello friends,

Just checking in with everyone as we approach the end of our discussion of The Frozen River.

How are you feeling about the idea to revisit the Three Pines series? We had previously suggested a Three Pines book once every two months, starting with Still Life on March 1st. Would this be of interest to you, or would you like to suggest a different idea? We’re always open to your thoughts and suggestions.

And, by the way, thank you for your thoughtful responses to the discussion questions for The Frozen River. They’ve been insightful and incredibly thought provoking. And, just like our TGW discussion, thoroughly enjoyable.

  1. I am open to anything. I thoroughly enjoy discussing all the LP books, if there is fresh ground to cover. When we discussed the series under Cheryl Meadow’s lead, it was a lot of fun and full of insights. With this group, we always seem to find something of worth to discover in whatever we focus on, so if there are more questions or different angles we can pursue in the Gamache books, I’m all for it. I never tire of rereading them every so often, and would probably be doing so anyway before TBW comes out this year, if possible.

    1. Good points Susan. For every book in the series, Cheryl came up with a few of her own questions and used some of the questions provided by the publisher. So there are still some publisher-provided topics that weren’t addressed previously. In addition, we could possibly look at the books from a series-wide perspective. And, of course, we’re open to posting questions that any of you can think up. We’ll post a thread in the forums to facilitate this as soon as we get the discussion guide for Still Life properly prepared.
