This is a gift link to a moving and deeply personal account of a young gay man and his Evangelical Christian pastor father. I read it as mostly the story of the father's journey, personally and theologically.

It is thought provoking and moving against the backdrop of current US politics and Christian nationalism

It is a touching tribute to a parent's love for his son.

And, finally, although the subject is different, it reminds me of "Ordinary Grace" by Krueger because it is a story of faith tested and love and grace prevailing.

Warning: it is a long read. I found it worth it.

  1. What a heartwarming, hopeful read. Would that more people would look inside themselves and challenge their prejudices like this young man’s father has done. And then, not only do that, but truly practice what they preach. Thank you for sharing.
