And here’s some news that finally settles that little question some were having regarding #21 of the Gamache series. It’s from a fairly reliable source and says that “the next book” is currently being written!
The Black Wolf is surely in edits now, which means the next book is #21. I think Susan A. quashed any question of #20 being the last already with the inside intel she shared in a previous post, but I thought I’d add this little reveal for fun.

Good catch! I’m pleased that all those who had predicted that The Black Wolf was the last of the series were not correct. I understand why the idea emerged though. I think that a major factor in creating a satisfying character or plot arc is taking characters and situation to extreme lows. That’s what makes the come backs so wonderful.
