I hope everyone enjoyed our first ever pop-up discussion. I’m looking forward to hearing what you all thought of it. Was it helpful? For me, I found everyone’s input and answers educational and inspiring. Even though it’s disheartening to see the majority of the lessons in On Tyranny being so relevant and timely, I take strength in the fact that there are people like us who are taking steps to educate themselves and are resisting in whatever ways they can. It’s made me much more vigiliget of what our politicians are saying here in Canada and I watch the media and social media coverage with a far more skeptical eye as we’re not immune from the misinformation and far right narratives. I certainly will be recommending the book to my friends and offering to discuss it with them and also sharing the advice and insights you all have shared during our discussion.
