Reply To: On Tyranny: How do you feel about this pop-up book club discussion?
My only regret about the pop-up discussion here is that I did not have the time to join both here and on Facebook. I could scan responses there and I know some were from people who have historically contributed deeply thoughtful and insightful comments.
That is because I am up to my ears in other commitments.
It was challenging to have three discussions at the same time. The format of “On Tyranny” lent itself well to a very focused discussion.
The comments on this discussion were incredibly informative. The view of the topic, tyranny, from readers living in Canada and how the political landscape looks in the U.S. provided a great balance and perspective. There is absolutely value in doing pop-up book discussions.
