I find it disconcerting when I see TV or movie adaptations and see who they’ve cast because I have a vague picture of how characters look when I read, it’s more a feeling. So the actors always end up different from my imagination!
Maureen, that’s why I never saw the film version of The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. Nothing could match my impression of gollum and his hissing way of talking.
