Wall cloud and tornado passing through part of St. Louis yesterday. Five dead, around 40 injured and about 5000 structures damaged or destroyed. Unbelievable tree damage. It went through part of Forest Park where the zoo is located; all animals safe. Preliminary results are that the tornado was an EF-3 with 165mph winds. I was safe in the basement with my two cats, watching the meteorologists discuss the progress of the storm. I live north of St. Louis, maybe 20 miles.
