Peter MacAlan

Peter MacAlan is the pseudonym of Peter Berresford Ellis, who is also known as Peter Tremayne, the author of the internationally bestselling Sister Fidelma mystery series. Under the alias Peter MacAlan, he has primarily written political and historical thrillers, with many of his novels set against the backdrop of World War II and modern history. He produced eight novels between 1983 and 1993 using this pen name. Ellis/MacAlan is a historian, literary biographer, and journalist who turned to writing novels in the 1970s. A prolific writer, he has published over 100 books and more than 100 short stories.
