I made 3 calls to my reps this week, and hope to get something more accomplished this weekend. I’m still trying to find my rhythm on who to approach when on what, and I still stumble over my words when I call, but I’m trying. I got a reply to an email that I’d sent to my congressman that was polite but vague and noncommittal about my concerns, but at least he knows I have them. Been looking at all sorts of news sources and need to see which ones I can afford to invest in — does anyone have a particular favorite? Timothy Snyder had recommended Propublica, Wired, The Guardian, and The Week, among some others. I found a good source for Ohio political news (Ohio Capitol Journal) which will help me to keep track of the things going on in my state, too. Have been participating in boycotts (Target, Amazon currently). I know it’s not much, but I’m trying to do what I can.
