I would like to recommend Canadian author KATIE TALLO and her HarperCollins-published mystery/thriller novels to fans of Louise Penny’s Chief Inspector Gamache series.

I was a college classmate with Katie when we both were studying television broadcasting. Katie was a star even then, with her talent for storytelling. She was a successful screenwriter before she embarked on writing novels. Katie Tallo is being hailed by her peers as a huge talent in the mystery/thriller genre.

Katie Tallo’s 2020 debut novel DARK AUGUST became an international bestseller. Her follow-up novel POISON LILIES, published in 2022, also made the international bestseller lists. Her eagerly anticipated third and final novel in the series, BURIED ROAD, is set to be released on December 3^rd, 2024.

Hailing from Ottawa, Canada, Ms. Tallo has set this trilogy in her hometown and the surrounding environ of Eastern Ontario, similar to Ms. Penny setting her novels in fictional Three Pines nestled in the actual Eastern Townships of Quebec.

The writing is crisp and the original riveting plots will keep you guessing and on the edge of your seat. I really enjoyed reading Katie’s first two novels and can’t wait to read BURIED ROAD when it comes out in December 2024.
