Shakespeare & Company, a book store located in the heart of Paris, on the banks of the Seine, has been a meeting place for writers and readers alike.
It is guided by the motto 'Be not inhospitable to strangers lest they be angels in disguise.' This is written above the entrance to the first- floor library, where visitors are invited to pass the day reading books.

Most any bookstore will do but I have some favorites I recommend: Square Books in Oxford, MS, the Tattered Cover in Denver, CO and Powell’s Books in Portland. I would go back to any of these in a hearbeat.
