Are there any writers here? Anyone who has ever considered publishing something?

Here is a quote from an interview with Louise Penny: “What finally triggered my writing career was having something to write about. An interior landscape to explore … Looking back I realize I’ve tried to write a book every decade of my life, and failed. I think I was too callow, too self-absorbed when I was younger. In many ways, I was too fortunate. Not enough bad had happened. But eventually in my 40s, I reached that time when I’d had enough sorrow, enough loss, enough heartache — I knew about love, I knew about jealousy and bitterness and great joy. And finally I had something to say. A world view that wasn’t just a literary contrivance, but real."

Even if you've never considered writing as a career or hobby, to publish or to keep safe in your own journals, what would your book be, if you ever wrote one (or two or three)?
