Book Club Friends Discussions

Hello friends,

We’ve just published the discussion schedules for The Grey Wolf (Part II, Jan 6th) and The Frozen River (Jan 15th). How do you feel about the pace of the discussions? Are you happy with two book discussions in one month?

We are slowly working our way through LP’s books again, updating our discussion guides to include all the extras we demonstrated to you with The Grey Wolf. Would you be interested in revisiting the books with us again? We could start discussions for the Three Pines series on Feb 1st with Still Life and continue with the rest of the books on the 1st day of every month. This would be an additional discussion to our Book of the Month chats on the 15th of every month, which give us a chance to explore other authors.

Cheryl Meadow hosted a wonderful set of discussions on our FB page, but we have a longer list of additional questions from the publishers and if you are interested, we could run through the series together again, with new discussion questions for each book.

As always, we’re happy to hear your thoughts!

  1. I think two book discussions in a month is a reasonable goal although I am uncertain if I will be ready for two every month. Given the proposed books so far for February, I would definitely be ready for two discussions.I would absolutely enjoy another look at LP’s beginning with Still Life. The discussion of “The Grey Wolf” referenced a number of earlier books and not only TBM and ATDAH. I found myself pulling out my copies of quite a few earlier books. I would like to give this proposal a try.

And thanks for the reminder of Cheryl Meadows’ discussions. Those were the first I joined and found them really informative.

  2. Another option is that we can discuss a Three Pines book every other month (in addition to the BOTM on the 15th). For example, Still Life on March 1st, A Fatal Grace on May 1st, etc. Other ideas are also welcomed. We’d be very happy to accommodate whatever makes you all happy.

Also, please keep in mind that all discussions are for your benefit alone! No need to participate if you’re not interested or too busy. Please don’t ever feel any pressure or obligation from us to do anything at all. BCF is meant to be a space for you to visit and enjoy only.
