I will add also that I think your comment and Susan’s comments were sadly very accurate; “many people just want to be told what to think and do and they do not know that they have been manipulated” and “it’s pretty hard to help people think when they just don’t want to”. I’ve been thinking about your comments and although I don’t understand the mentality, I don’t know if anyone would really admit to not wanting to think for themselves. Anti vaxxers seem to claim to “do their own research” and believe themselves to be more informed than others. There was even one woman claiming COVID came from Fauci’s lab in the LP FB group thread. It seems to me that the problem is that kind and thoughtful people want to help others to become independent and think for themselves, while many who are only interested in promoting their interests have no moral issue with manipulating and controlling others.
