I love this quote from Tolkein! I also love this one of his “If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.”
I believe many of us do value friends and art and food and cheer above hoarding wealth. But somehow we’ve allowed the greedy ones to hold power over us.
