Hello my dear friends,
As one of the founding admins of our LP FB group, my friends and I hoped to discuss LP’s books with other readers. But for the past 4+ years, our roles shifted to maintaining a safe space for you to enjoy.
I’ll share something with you here that I never imagined I’d ever tell you: before The Grey Wolf, I had not read a book for several years. All of my spare time had been consumed with admin tasks for our group, which was targeted by bots and scammers with fake profiles for many years. I would wake up to find thousands of new membership requests and spend the entire day until the last seconds before going to bed, vetting, blocking, answering DMs and a number of other admin duties.
I share this with you now because I want you to recognize that I am and always have been sincere in my efforts to create a space where meaningful connections can form. And I also want you to know that I am writing this message to you with love.
I know that you may be feeling anxiety and concern with current events. Democracy, human rights, Canadian sovereignty, and an endless stream of discouraging headlines may be crowding your thoughts. You are not alone.
And we are not powerless.
I know that the spirit of Three Pines exists in members of our group. I know that goodness exists here. I know that you are all spreading your goodness to others around you.
We will need to unite and work together to make sure goodness remains in our homes, communities and countries.
Here is what we need to do together:
- Educate ourselves and spread that knowledge. Knowledge is power and understanding what is happening and what we need to do will give you the power to overcome your fears. Visit our Knowledge base and read the advice/watch the video at the top of the screen. We just created this section of BCF yesterday, so if you’d like to help us add more resources, we would greatly appreciate it. Please join BCF and add data where you have expertise.
- Know our rights and share them with others.
- Call state reps to demand action and answers. Frequently. Yes, it does make a difference. Canadians, we can help our country and our American friends in other ways – more to come on this.
- Do not show them our fear or anxiety. They are trying to overwhelm you into paralysis. But they do not realize how strong we are.
And we are much stronger when we unite, organize and fight back together.
You are not alone. We have the numbers. And, my American friends, Canadians are on your side, so your numbers are even greater than you realize. If we work together, not only can we support one another, but we can combine our unique strengths to become more effective as a group than we would be as individuals.
This Canadian will fight back with you, just as we Canadians have always stood beside and helped our American friends whenever help was needed.
